PageSafe Basic Setup

Page Safe Stack in Stacks 2 Plugin

  1. When you drop a Page Safe stack on a site you will see the above stack appear on your page.

  2. First thing you need to realize, is that the you can not preview the Page Safe stack. You can preview your page, but the Page Safe stack will not show in preview.

  3. Once you add the stack to your page, you have some settings to make decisions on. First is what kind of passcode you want. A digit pin (up to 7 digits) or a password. Once you decide that, you need to enter your passcode. Besure you enter the the correct amount of digits, or the stack might not work.

  4. Next you need to choose a PageSafe ID. You will only need this if you are going to have more than 1 Page Safe on your site, but want to have the same passcode open all of the pages, or if you want to have a different passcode to open on different pages. Here is how you set it up. If you want to have the same passcode open any page on your site. Make the PageSafe ID the same on all of the PageSafe stacks on your site. If you want to have different pages have different passcodes, then you need to have different PageSafe IDs for each page that has a PageSafe stack on it.

  5. There are a lot of other settings, you can change the keyhole to a lock, or even add your own image. You can change the amount of time the site will remember for each login (default is 1 day). You can change the background color from a solid color, to a couple of different gradients or to an image if you want.

Logout Stack

Page Safe Logout Stack in Stacks 2

  1. PageSafe comes with a Logout stack. When you drop the stack on a page, you will see the above stack appear.

  2. We suggest you use a button for the Logout stack, and any button stack should work, but we know for sure that the normal stacks button, the Foundation button and Joe's Sweet Button stacks all work. As well as the ButtonPlus stack from Big White Duck.

  3. There are no settings you need to worry about for this stack, and you do not need to set a link for the button stacks you use, unless the link is blank, you need to use either # or this code javascript:void(0)

Stack Safe Stack

  3. The only setting in this stack is the PageSafe ID. You need to set this to the corresponding PageSafe ID for the PageSafe stack.
