The Glider stack is a great stack to use, but a lot of people have been asking if it is possible to launch from either a button stack or some text in a paragraph. The answer is yes. Follow the procedures below to learn how.
We have not tested this with all of the button stacks out there, but it has been tested with Sweet Button Stack, Foundation's Button Stack, Elixirgraphic's Flat Button Stack and the Button Stack that comes with the Stacks plugin. We do not have all button stacks available to us, if you want one tested, you would need to send it to us.
First thing you need to do is go to the Glider Advance Settings and give the Glider Stack a specific *Extern Launch ID**
For our example today, I will be using Glider-1 for our Extern Launch ID. Once you have the ID set, you need to choose the button stack you want to use. I will be using the Sweet Button stack in our example. Set up your button the way you want it, and then set the link for the button. When you do, the link sheet will appear.
You want to make the URL #ExternLaunchID. This will be the hash or pound sign followed by the Extern Launch ID you set earlier in the Glider stack. You will also want to make a new Custom Attribute to the link. Click the plus sign under the attribute list, give it a Name of class and a Value of glider-toggle. When you are done, it should look like this:
Click on Set Link and you are ready to try it out. Preview the page and try out the button. Your Glider stack should open, click the button again, and it should close.
The procedure for links is very similar.
